Motivational Monday 1

Don't let the fact that you may not be grammatically suave keep you from writing. I fell in love with the English language at a young age, and was ready to learn all of the grammatical rules. I started learning journalism, however, and all of the rules changed. After that I never really knew what was a rule and what wasn't, or what rules I should use while writing articles compared to while writing prose- this kept me from showing others my work.

Don't let this happen to you! There are plenty of writers who spit in the face of grammar by writing ungrammatically for effect; there are writers who don't know better and find no consequences. Play with grammar, use it as a tool to craft your writing into something unique and you.

If you're all that worried about being correct, there are bookshelves upon bookshelves of grammar books just waiting to be read. Google. Youtube. Copyeditors. There are options readily available to brush up on the rules, no worries.
